Field dropdown details

The Field Select tab of the Advanced Link configuration allows administrators to customise how items appear in the dropdown menu of a link field.

What is always shown

Each work item option will always display:

  • The item icon

  • The item summary

These elements cannot be removed.

Create/Edit screen select

Use the Fields to show multi-select to define which additional custom fields should appear in the dropdown menu for each option.

  • Issue Key

  • Number

  • Single-choice select

  • Single-line text

Displays the item key alongside the summary and Number/Text fields in the dropdown menu.

Show recently visited issues

When enabled, recently accessed items by the current user will appear at the top of the selection list.

Allow to select 100 or more issues at a time

Allow the link field to store > 100 linked items at a time.

Performance may be impacted when using this option on large datasets.

Advanced select order by

Define how work items are sorted in the selection list:

Custom Field: Choose a field to sort by (e.g. Serial number, Purchase date)

Direction: Choose ascending (ASC) or descending (DESC) order

JSM portal screen

Hide advanced select from JSM portal create screen

Hides the item look-up dialog from the Create request screen.
