Table Statistics - Dashboard Gadget
Recently, our team started working on developing extra tools to assist teams with table data reports. We plan to expand the collection of such tools shortly.
Feel free to contact our support team if you have ideas for new reports you’d like to see!
The Table Statistics gadget helps you visualise table data across issues directly on a Jira dashboard. You can add it to any dashboard to quickly see value distributions or aggregated sums based on your table columns.
What the gadget shows
Depending on the selected column type, the gadget displays:
Bar chart showing how often specific values appear across a single column type across all rows. Applicable for the following types of columns:
Select list
User picker
Status
For example, in the screenshot below, the gadget is used to analyse the progress across a certain table checklist. The bar chart illustrates that 94.2% of existing rows have the value ‘To Do’ in a ‘Status’ column.
Sum of values across all tables for a column type. Applicable for the following types of columns:
Number
Decimal number
Configuration options
When setting up the gadget, you can configure:
Table: Select which table to analyse.
Column: Choose a specific column (Select list, Status, User picker, Number, or Decimal number).
JQL filter: Define which issues need to be included in the analysis.
Quick filter: Apply a predefined quick filter to narrow down the results.
When selecting a Number or Decimal number column, you can also add a prefix (up to 20 characters) to label the sum.
Users can also access table statistics withing Table Navigator. See Table Chart Reports to learn more.
