Table Data filtering

Table Filters

If you want to narrow down table data based on column values, use the filter tool built into each table.

Click the filter icon in the top-right corner of the table (in issue view or in the table navigator) to open the filter panel. From there, you can filter by any column – text, date, select, number, and more.

The filter panel is available in:

  • Issue view – for filtering table rows inside the issue

  • Table Navigator – for filtering rows across multiple issues

  • Customer request view – for tables shown on request types in Jira Service Management.

Quick Filters

In the filter panel users can apply quick filters. Quick filters let you save and reuse sets of column filters for any table. Instead of filtering by individual columns every time, you can now:

  • Apply a preconfigured filter set from a dropdown

  • Save the current combination of filters as a reusable quick filter

This is especially useful when working with large tables or when regularly switching between common filter setups.

Using quick filters

Click the filter icon above the table to open the filter panel. From there, you can:

  • Select a saved quick filter from the quick filter dropdown.

  • Apply column-based filters manually.

  • Save your current filter combination by clicking Save as quick filter

💡 Hover over saved filter names in the dropdown to see their description.

Saving quick filters

Any user can save quick filters directly from the filter panel:

  • Open the filter panel

  • Apply the filters you want

  • Click Save as quick filter

  • Fill in the name and description, then save.

Admins can also create, edit & delete filters from the table configuration. All filters created for the particular table are displayed under the tab Quick Filters.
